Your role as Business Development Manager

As a Business Development Manager, you are the driving force behind the commercial growth of this logistics family business. You build strategic relationships within the ocean forwarding market and ensure that new customers make optimal use of our logistics solutions. In this role, you combine your hunter mentality with a customer-centric approach to make a real impact on business results.

• Developing new business: You identify opportunities in the market, generate leads and convert them into concrete deals within the ocean forwarding sector;
• Expand customer base: You actively build our network by deepening existing relationships and making new contacts;
• Achieving sales results: You bear direct responsibility for achieving your targets within the commercial plan;
• Guiding customer implementation: You support new customers in the start-up phase and monitor their volumes to achieve growth;
• Team collaboration: You work together with inside sales and management to prepare quotes and provide aftersales.

• Minimum HBO level with 3-5 years of demonstrable experience in sales within ocean forwarding;
• A real hunter mentality: you open doors and close deals;
• Excellent command of Dutch and English in speech and writing;
• Strong communication skills and natural customer focus;
• Proactive work attitude with an eye for detail in sales administration.
